Failing to follow instructions on a job application or in an interview is a sure red flag when an employer is looking for someone to hire.
It makes the applicant seem to be inefficient, difficult and unable to perform assigned duties. If hired, would the person really follow the required safety procedures and best practices necessary to do a good job?
