It's been December 21 on earth for over 24 hours now (it's December 22 already in Kiribati).

Turns out the those predictions about the end of the world coming on December 21 were wrong.

NASA's video explains that the hoopla about the Mayan long count calendar was just a misinterpretation of what that calendar actually means. They were so confident the world wouldn't end, they posted the video last week!

 

 

Of course, from a biblical point of view, we know there's some stuff left that needs to happen before the end of the world can happen.

I think the challenge here is to not let this failed prediction wear our sense of urgency for living God's way down. One of these days, the actual end of this age will come—not just a "crying of wolf."

Let's fill our lamps with oil (Matthew 25:1-13). That is, fill our lives more with Christ and our fill of the Holy Spirit every day.
