The Culture of God

In any country, tribe or peoples, there are certain customs, social institutions, arts and achievements of their people. Sociologists term this concept culture, and there has been an identification that culture is multifaceted. There is surface culture, shallow culture and deep culture - each with their own importance distinctions. Surface culture are the things we can observe, while shallow and deep culture, like the parts of an iceberg under the surface, aren't as simple to observe. The Gospel is going out to the world, people are being called from many nations, many peoples and languages, and being provided an opportunity to join God's Family. The Word of God and the Way of God supersede culture, they supersede nationality. We are being called to leave our own cultures and to join God's culture. What is that culture in our lives? Are we responding to it now? How can we become more aligned with His culture in our life today?
