Guided by God's Word (Part 3)

Resisting the Devil

As we continue our series on being Guided by God's Word, today we will explore the idea of resisting wrong. In our spiritual life we are at war. Sun Tzu, in his famous work, The Art of War, once said, “If you know the enemy and you know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you do not know your enemy nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle." Do we know our adversary? Do we know his characteristics and attitudes and how those attitudes and characteristics impact and influence our human nature? If we know ourselves and we know our enemy we can be more adequately prepared to defend ourselves and resist wrong. We cannot afford to lose this battle.
