Guilt

How Can I Look to God When I'm Looking Down?

Guilt can seperate us from God. How can I ask for forgiveness when I knew better? Good question, but we need to remember, or come to the realization, that God doesn't look at our sins and want to punish us. On the contrary, God wants us to live without sin and be a happy child of His. God doesn't look down on us when we are forgiven, God wants us to be blameless and holy and appear to Him as He sees our elder brother Jesus. God can even remove the guilt of our sins; David asked God for this in Psalm 51. We need to prevent the wedge of sin and guilt from being driven between God and ourselves and look forward, putting the past behind us.
