Giving up Hell

Many times in the Bible, hell is described as the grave. We're all going to the grave at death and the Bible says the wages of sin is death. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So our life is not worth much. God has asked us to give up our life and receive eternal life. How would that be possible? Are we willing to give up our life for eternal life and would it be worth it to give up our way of life for God's way of life?
