Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. We follow Him by preaching His message, caring for His disciples and serving others as He served.
Our Personal Mission
Jesus Christ received a personal mission from the Father to fulfill during His life and ministry on Earth. He performed that mission and finished it. We who are called also have received a personal mission from the Father to fulfill during our lifetime. Jesus left an example for us, that we should follow His steps. Both personal missions are truly missions of love.
Gary was born at Centralia, Washington and grew up at Rochester, Washington. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1961, and from St. Martin's College in Lacey, Washington in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
In 1968, he sat for and passed the state license exam for professional land surveyor. He was active in this occupation with the same land surveying firm in Olympia since 1966. He is now retired.
He was baptized in the spring of 1968 and has been a member of the Olympia congregation since. He was ordained a deacon in the fall of 1971 and an elder in the spring of 2002.
Gary met Nickie during Pentecost services in 1968. Nickie was baptized in early 1967, and was a member of the Seattle congregation. They were married in 1970. They have three grown sons and three delightful grandchildren. They currently reside in Rochester, Washington.
