Standing in the Armor of God

Let us make no mistake, we are in a war. And let us not underestimate that Satan is a powerful enemy. Satan hates humanity and would like nothing else but to see mankind's total and complete destruction. On our own defense alone, we stand no chance against Satan. But God has equipped His solders with the Armor of God and the apostle Paul has admonished all to take a stand against Satan. Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

Michael Phelps and his wife Laura, and daughter Kelsey, attend the Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Flint Michigan congregations, where Michael serves as pastor.  Michael and Laura both grew up in the Church of God.  They attended Ambassador University in Big Sandy for two years (1994-96) then returned home to complete their Bachelor's Degrees.  Michael enjoys serving in the local congregations as well as with the pre-teen and teen camp programs.  He also enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and running.
