What God Wants from Us
God promises His people the great rewards of eternal life and a position of rulership in His kingdom. But what does He require of us in return? He wants us to put Him first in our lives, care about our neighbors, and keep His laws and ways. In reading of events in the life of Abraham, we as his spiritual descendants can see how God worked with and tested Abraham until He knew for certain that Abraham feared Him. The trials and difficulties we experience help us see our weaknesses and help God know us better. He has to know our hearts before He will allow us to be in His kingdom.
