He was born in Finland and grew up in Canada. He is an Ambassador graduate of 1969 and has served in the church and ministry since that time. He and his wife, Claudia, were married in 1970. They have two married daughters. Claudia, has run her own home-based upholstery business over 25 years. They enjoy hunting, fishing and camping and their three grandchildren.
