Romans 3:23 states “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. We faced certain death because of our sin until the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ offered His life for ours. Passover is a memorial of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for us. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice is only the beginning of God’s plan of salvation. We must appreciate His sacrifice, carry the cross and we must become like Jesus Christ.
Michael was an elder who most recently served the Roanoke, Virginia, congregation of the United Church of God, where he had served as pastor for five years. He and his wife, Rita, lived in Lansing, West Virginia. He was a retired chemist. They enjoyed hiking and biking.
