God's nature is one of service. As we strive to develop Godly character in our lives we need to learn to serve from our heart. We can develop a servant's heart by following Christ's example of sacrifice, service and humility.
Michael was an elder who most recently served the Roanoke, Virginia, congregation of the United Church of God, where he had served as pastor for five years. He and his wife, Rita, lived in Lansing, West Virginia. He was a retired chemist. They enjoyed hiking and biking.
